A little about Grasmere

Grasmere a village right in the heart of the Lake District in Cumbria, England, easily reachable from the towns of Ambleside, Keswick, Hawkshead, Coniston, Bowness and Windermere.

Grasmere lake lies south of Grasmere village, here you will find many scenic walks, if you prefer the a more relaxing Lake District experience. Those that prefer more of a challenge, Grasmere is ideally located for taking on the challenges of hiking or mounatin biking the craggy peaks of Scafell Pike, Helvellyn, Skiddaw & Langdale Pikes.

William Wordsworth of Grasmere

The Village of Grasmere was once where the famous poet William Wordsworth used to live; today you can still visit two of William Wordsworth former homes - the famous Dove Cottage and Rydal Mount. In the centre of Grasmere is St. Oswalds Church, this churchyard contains the Wordsworth family graves.
