If you go west of Keswickyou can explore Whinlatter mountain forest or maybe take a look at one of the many lakes Derwentwater, Bassenthwaite Lake, Crummock Water, Buttermere and Thirlmere with lots of places to relax and enjoy the Lake district.
Visitors to Keswick have a great variety of sports at their fingertips including hiking, mountain biking and road cycling, golf, fell running, horse riding, paragliding, rock climbing, water sports and fishing.
You can bring your own bike to explore, mountain bike or just potter around or hire one locally you'll find many Lake district cycle routes. For the long distance cycling there is the C2C route or for family cycling adventure there is approved forest trails tending to be very popular. There is also horse riding opportuinites, looking for safe room to travel without contact with vehicles or pedestrians, the Lake District and Keswick has it.
