Lake Coniston - The Lake District

The town of Coniston is located at the northern end of the lake Coniston water, to the west is Old Man of Coniston, a very picturesque and easy Mountain to climb in the Lake District. 

Lake Coniston is a very famous and picturesque, a very popular place for swimming, boating, windsurfing and of course sailing. Lake Coniston is most famed for Donald Campbell attempting the world water speed record 4th January 1967 which ended in tragedy, as he was attempting to break 300 mph. To find out more click here
